the P1 is an awsome car BUT be careful the milage is not a problem as long as it has full subaru history, try and get one that is standard these cars tend to blow if mucked about with my friend has a my 2001 P1 it has decat and induction kit and it has had 2 gear boxes and two engine rebuilds.... :x mine is 2000 no mods 42k not a problem and mine has the upper hand on him so what iam saying is take your time and research a car and if anything make sure it has subaru warrenty coz if engine goes it is 5k at least my mates had all his work done on warrenty

imho if you mod it at all get a remap, i cant understand why people muck about with them they are plenty fast enough.. all i have is a jetex pannel filter boost gauge and afr meter, it still beats most things on the road, if i had known all this before i got mine i would not have brought it

Well that's got me thinking. Slight bias here have got an RB5 20K on the clock, fully stamped up service manual (ouch).Couldn't afford a P1 at the time. I like the fact that the RB is onlly 444 (probably less now) i like the quickshift, the mid range shove & the classic looks. But (traitor) the P1 2dr sonic blue, those OZ alloys, Peter Stevens rear spoiler with the carbon gurney flap, titanium badges & 276 bhp of course! Yeah would probably go down the P1 route.Where did you say they are for sale? No what am i thinking, she'll go mental!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wise choice M8. I had the P1 and felt sick as a pig after a few months wishing I had my old MY98 back. My MY98 would see off the P1 anyday. MY98 was 283 BHP and much more torque than the P1. P1 was Standard but still blow up.
