TIMING BELT

hi all im after a bit of advise i picked up my 94 plate wrx import on thursday and im after getting a timimg belt fitted ive been quoted off subaru 295 to do the belt is that a good price ? or does anybody no a good garage who can do the job i live in middlesbrough and when should timing belts be changed the car when it was imported over here had 73,700 km on it it has been changed to mph and now has 88,200 on her so does any body no what the miliage the engine will have done thanks

I believe it should be changed at 50k miles or 5yrs whichever comes first.

So if you have no record of it having been done before I'd get it done as a matter of urgency before you get a very big bill for an engine rebuild.

when i bought my last car first thing it had doen was a full service, cam belt, all the fluids, spark plugs all filters etc. better safe than sorry.

is it worth getting the tensioner done aswell as a lot of garages say not to bother

depends on if it needs doing, budget for it then if it doens't your quids in
