PR: EBC Brakes Joins Team SubieGalRacing for 2005!
![]() EBC Brakes Backs S.G.Racing for 2005 For Immediate Release - January 26, 2005 Seattle, WA - Team Subie Gal Racing and U.K. based EBC Brakes have joined forces for the 2005 rally season. They have reached an agreement in which EBC will be supplying the team with support and meeting all of their braking needs. EBC Brakes Group (Ebcbrakes.com) is a private company owned exclusively by the current managing director, Andy Freeman. A U.K. based company with USA manufacturing facilities, EBC manufactures a positively huge range of brake pads and rotors - and has been doing so, for over twenty years. From automotive to motorcycle to mountain bikes to shifter karts, EBC is very well known and respected for their quality products throughout all realms of motor sport. From its early days of being one of the pioneers of the disc brake pad aftermarket for motorcycles since they were first introduced on motorcycles in 1976, EBC Brakes has grown to be a worldwide group with strengths in every area of the brake industry. "It's going to be great to work with Jamie" Director Andy Freeman stated, "We will supply the team with the brake pads it needs as well as work with the team as a tester for any improvements we make and need an opinion on." The SubieGal Racing team began using EBC's new Redstuff Ceramic compound pads at Rim of the World last season. Click here to read Jamie's Full Review of the pads for all of the specifications and details. The team was taken by the excellent performance of these pads and negotiations began to create a partnership and working relationship which will enable the team to continue to use these excellent braking items as they compete in the 2005 Rally season. "Of course we are very excited to be working alongside EBC Brakes, I absolutely love these brake pads!" stated Jamie Thomas, team driver for SGRacing, "I know the Redstuff Ceramics will perform without cutting up my rotors, this is very important as my car class rules demand that we use factory rotors. Finally we have found a fantastic performing brake pad, that doesn't destroy our rotors each and every rally. This is a great opportunity, we're really looking forward to working alongside EBC this year." ![]() Next Rally Event: Doo Wop Rally - Aberdeen WA - March 5-6, 2005 For more information contact: Info@subiegal.com www.subiegalracing.com ©2005 Subie Gal Racing.com |

Green pads were a waste of time and warped the discs within 1000 (road use) miles. The reds were a bit better, but nowhere near as good a the ferodos I have now. I've heard the new compound is better, but I've never used them. After the poor response from EBC when the original set let me down within a month, I wasn't prepared to pay to try their products anymore. If I had a problem, there wasn't a decent after sales backup just over a year ago. I'm not sure if it's changed now though. |
