Re: fitting a resonater box?

Look at one of my old thread entitled What is it ? I just removed mine from my 95 classic. The link has photos of the fitment too. I've opted for cold air feed rather than warm air from the engine.

Re: fitting a resonater box?

i fitted the resonator box today and had no problems, however it took me ages to try and fit the sti panel filter. it just would'nt seem to fit in the airbox and when i did get it in, the bottom of the airbox lid was'nt fitted correctly. has anyone used a sti panel filter in there car and is there a certain way you should fit them?
i must be doing something wrong because it was a bloody nightmare!
apart from that now its fitted with the proper cold air feed, i cant say its any different from having just the airbox on with no air feed, maybe smoother.
thanks for the help

here is the filter i have.http://www.flat4online.co.uk/catalog...-panel-filters

Re: fitting a resonater box?

When I have fitted a green filter I had to cut a little tag off all the little rubber bits, its sort of T shape to start with and is just I after, sorry not the best description,
If u look at the bottom of the filter they look like the moulding points,
Once trimmed the filter should fit in the bottom section correctly.

Put a K& N panel filter in mine to and had some problems fitting it the filter was slighty bit big when you get one end in the other pops out so eventually squeezed my fingers down the end held it down and doing it fast closed the top cover and it fits nice n snug now
