Choosing the right boost controller.

Hi all,

Its that time of the month again where I treat rex to a few bits and pieces. As I'm getting ever closer to my re-map I'm looking for a decent but not to pricey boost controller. I've had a brief look around and found this,

Blitz UK: Products > Electronics > Boost Controllers

Anyone have any dealings with these?? Any good? Also if there's any other controllers out there you'd recommend drop me a link.

Cheers all!

Re: Choosing the right boost controller.

I was thinking that one might be a good idea after the re-map incase I get any problems with overboosting, or am I getting ahead of myself slightly?

Re: Choosing the right boost controller.

You drive a newage.

If you're getting a remap you won't need a boost controller. If the remap has been done properly you'll never need a boost controller. The standard ECU already has decent 3D boost and wastegate duty control so it's all down to the mapper and hopefully you don't have any boost leaks hot or cold side either to hamper the tuner.

Better to make sure your car is in mechanically excellent working order before the remap than to faff about with boost controllers you don't need.

Re: Choosing the right boost controller.

As said you wont need a boost controller unless you are looking to get over 1.5 bar of boost ... which you wont.

Save your money.
