just looked up a couple of sites on the i-net, some legal, some illegal.... as you say musical ones can be. www.airhorns.co.uk lets you sample the horns, had me in stitches!
the old fashioned klaxon ones sound good.

p.s. nobby 248, didn't you once have a bull horn on your ford granada?

Air horns.

Not 100% on this but if I rememmber rightly, the musical air horns are only legal on pre 1974 registered cars. Single tone air horns are legal on any car (because it's only single tone) but the ones the police really don't like are the dual tone (i.e. the ones they use!) HTH.

Oh and I used to have Dixie air horns on my 1976 Bedford CF1 customised van (it was nearly 20 years ago after all  ) but they were wired up to a seperate switch instead of the main horn, so passed MOT.

Yes i did... ive been rumbled.... 1977 Ford Granada in two tone Biege over metalic Brown... It opertated by a pull cable under the dash...... used to make everyone come running out of thier houses to see what was going on.... Not that I would do that anymore im a family guy with three kids, a very responsible job and a mortgauge.... the full catastrophe

Hope your feeling better BTW.

Sounds like you havent bedded in the new brake pads and discs yet....think CVC Subaru did you proud. Excellent service once again.

Big Bruv.

Nobby.

nobby, thought you would never admit to the granada's bull horn!

Subaru main dealers last saturday. moaned about spongy brakes (probably like a lot of peeps do).. 2 hours work later they replaced all brake fluid, all pads and put a pair of new discs on the front!................. and all it cost me was a smile and a thanks!!! they only found a little wear in the pads! what's all that about then???
tidy. :P
