its the decals mate

Seriously though - hmmm I always thought that clunking etc coming from wheels/suspension is generally due to worn anti roll bar bushes ? It could also be something that freezes over night and then you driving off the drive frees it up ?

Could be the suspension just settling down, as its cold things contract ( we all know that boys  ) and a bit of movement moves its position.
Dont think its anything to worry about.

like E's cat idea, could put one behind the wheel to save the handbrake

Hi Steve.....
Must be your bling bling rattling mate

Think like Nelson and Buzz said.... or even Hand brake related.... but nothing to worry about.

i got similar knock in the mornings (not every morning)

Get similar when discs have got wet and you get that slight rust build up, but goes as soon as the wheels turn.
Re -reading steve's problem, it sounds like its after he has moved off a short distance, so that would rule out handbrake or slight build up on disc due to damp.

Still think its settling down or as nelson says bushes.

I have that problem (and a few others!) and replaced both anti roll bars and front and rear droplinks, didn't solve it

then, I have traced it to worn steering rack bushes which will be replaced at the weekend - I will report back!
