Unhappy ive bought a right duff car!!!

hi just bought a 98 wrx (e) import for 600 as a project. the bodywork is fantastic on it and its got a full sti exterior. i bought it knowing it was overheating. well i thought that was the only problem. the car has been totally bodged lol. under the bonnet its got two cooloing sytems. one that isnt linked up but has a radiator pipe and expansion tank. dont know what the hell it is so ive removed it by now. the car has got wires everywhere so ive been carefully removing the ones that dont do anything, guess they tried too wire in a piggyback ecu or something... i took it for mot, before i did i had a quick look at it and replaced front anti roll links and tyres and a couple of bulbs etc etc . just before i took it in the osf caliper decided to totally seize on me! so ive took it to bits and rebuilt it.
it failed on loose wishbone bolts!! front discs also failed and two of the top strut mounting bolts on the osf were snapped and last owner had glued them back on!!! just to make me feel better the thing keeps overheating still...... the saga continues lol

Agree with Martin.

Also you seem to be doing all the work yourself, so with a bit of perseverance you could end up with a decent car for very few $. Stick with it chap.

Best suggestion would be to strip to bare shell and do it properly.

Mate sounds to me like you've actually bought an ideal project. The body is in good condition so you need to concentrate on the mechanics.
get it up on stands, strip out the car and work from the shell back. Make sure it's solid and well treated. biuld your suspention, brakes, running gear and engine and I'm sure you'll have an amazing car.
Goos luck and lets have some pictures
