Squeaking Noise???

Hi guys,

Recently i've noticed a intermittent squeaking noise coming from around the drivers side wheel/bonnet area. It seems to happen after a few minutes of driving, but doesn't happen when stationary or when revved stationary. My front pads are quite worn but I don't see why that would cause any noise when free wheeling? The noise also seems to go sometimes when under braking? I've had a poke around the engine bay and drivers side front wheel this evening and couldn't find any problems.

Any clues???

Re: Squeaking Noise???

i'd say you've got the "squeelers" on the pads touching the disc bud

Re: Squeaking Noise???

I used to live on a place called kedlestone road in derby hence the name bob, live down london way now. Thanks for the offer though!

The more I hear the noise the more it sounds like something spinning everynow and then thats got a dry sharft, well thats the closest I can get to discribing it really. I'll see what happens when I've changed the pads.

Re: Squeaking Noise???

Pads and disc's were well worn it seems, the squeaking was a metal tag on the factory pads that warns you when your very low, so the subaru technician tells me anyway!? DS2500 fitted now, been bedding them in over the weekend and wow! Much sharper! Good times
