I noticed greater lag in the turbo spin after the install - some do notice this other say the complete opposite (i.e improves)

Steve.... If it is sound that has the deciding factor get the HKS much louder

Forge is cheaper though than a UK sourced HKS

HKS gets my vote. I have one on order from STiRacing (see banner on here)
Way cheaper than a UK sourced one

bought a forge last nite virtually new 80.00 fitted, well happy with it think i'm going to buy the pack of four springs from forge to try & make it louder or whoosh more often. have to make it rev hard to get any sound from it, but am happy though

Steve,

What have you gone for??? The Forge recirculating dump valve or the atmospheric type???

The only advice I can give on the Forge spring kit is just to be careful what spring you install

If you go for too hard a spring, you can risk the dump valve not functioning at all (therefore the boost pressure backing up the turbo, which can cause damage to the delicate turbo internals) and if you go for too soft a spring, the dump valve can "dump" valuable boost pressure to atmosphere (or back into the induction system if you have a recirc type), when you are on full boost ops:

Either way, if you are not 100% sure, contact the helpful guys at Forge for their advice.

Rich
