Angry HELP MY BOOSTING PROBLEMS!!!!!!

i own a 95 wrx 2.0t . i went out 2day and it was boosting to 1.6mgh i got in it an 1hr l8r and it was only boosting to 0.5mgh ?????? ive been told it could be the boost solenoid ??? CAN ANY 1 HELP ME PLEASE THANX

does sound like the solenoid,have you got an after market dump valve on the car,if so check that,as the diaphram may have colapsed..

im not sure the valve thats on there has a 10mm nut and allen key screw on the top that u can adjust?????????? is there any way of cleanin the solenoid? and if the diaphram as collapsed can i block it off THANX MATE

the solenoid can be cleaned with with brake cleaner

sounds like the dump can be adjusted,wouldn't blank it off unless you have a turbo on the car that can run without one,maybe best to find an original one and give that a try!..

if i adjust the dump what diffrence will it make .......im new 2 these turbos its the 1st 1 ive owned lol ....has u can probably tell! thanx again

you can restrict the flow or increase it,this normally means more pressure the louder the dump,so to speak..a mate had one on his 94 Rex,messed about with it and then rang me saying his car was crap and had lost power,prat had wound it in too much!!..

no harm in being a noob,we all were at some stage!!

cheers matey...shall try cleanin tha solenoid 2morow and i think il hav a play around with the dump, ive been a fitter 4 10yrs on commercials but these high preformance cars r new 2 me ! i read on the forum has well that theres gromets of sum sort in the pipes attached 2 the solenoid ? ANY IDEAS

there's a pill(shown circled)best not to play with or try and remove,could result in huge problems if done so..

have tryied cleanin solenoid its still only boosting at 0.5mgh !!!!!!!!!! is there any other things i should look at ?????????

FFFFFFFFFFFFKKKKKKKKK ive just been 2 the shop and its boosting again now 2 1.5 mgh what the hell can it be its an intermittant fault wareva its just goin 2 do my head in this i can c it
