by "bolt on" i mean a direct fit, the other way is a rotated fit costing a lot more than a few grand

are you going for 500bhp then? or is this purely theoretical?

im interested really, some good turbos out there but have heard of turbos breaking (fp series) and causing a lot of engine damage, perhaps a better question would be, is there going to be any real difference power wise between all the top turbos which claim to be 500 bolt ons

Re: best "bolt on" 500 bhp turbo

As a direct bolt on with no other changes to fittings the MD321T may come close on a 2.5 engine?
I'm going to get aoMD321H one day for the Spec C and go for 400+

it's not the turbo that's probably the problem, (or is it?) but the stress it must put on everything else.

ive heard the fp are weak in some way, a few lads on the mlr have had them also one or two subarus have had them blow up, purely turbo not engine reasons, dynamix had one, think that broke.
