When buying the car i was told to use millar octaine booster with bp ultimate for best performance. The car lump is standard bar blitz nur spec stailess full system and forge piston dump valve on a red top engine .Is this the case???? ....and if not what?car seems to run fine bar small back fire on the run off.The last car I had tuned was a 1340 mini when I was 17 many years ago,no need for booster stuff and alike.Regards James.

Re: Fuel

Is it an import? If it is then if you are not mapped for UK fuel (and it doesn't sound like your car is) then strongly recommend octane booster. Highest octane fuel you can get in the UK is 99 Ron, in Japan the manufacturers recommendation is at least 100 Ron. Your Mini was a UK car (I imagine) so no probs. Using fuel with too low an octane rating can result in serious issues for your engine.

Apart from BP102 octane, but this is only available at about 10 fuel stations by race circuits.
