problem braking
Afternoon guys and gals,
I'm getting an odd noise and slight wobble (through the steering wheel) when braking. Seems to be coming from the front left brake. The wobble is fairly slight. and the noise is hard to describe, not loud, but sounds slightly like gently pulling on a disk brake/handbrake while driving, and only seems to happen under light braking. Front brakes were replaced about a year ago with ebc turbo groove discs and yellowstuff pads, and the problem has only been in the past couple of weeks. pads look like theres loads left on them. I did have the back pads replaced recently but it definately seems like the problem is with the front brakes. Any ideas what this could be ? Cheers, David

Re: problem braking
someone has suggested it could be a warped disc, buti wouldn't have thought this would happen on fairly new discs ? any thoughts ?

Re: problem braking
it could well be a warped disc, they can warp for any number of reasons, maybe theres some grit of something stuck inbetween a pad and disc, this can also cause an imbalance..

Re: problem braking
Hi David, i wish i could help you mate.
When you get wobble through the steering wheel, it's probably balance your tires, low tire pressure "no noise" or slightly warped disc. At higher speeds ball joints.

Re: problem braking
Thanks.
I think it's best to get it into the garage to get it checked. am getting a 'clicking' noise from the back brake pads if I go forward, stop, reverse, brake, clicking noise. i'll post back with the diagnosis once it's been to the garage!
