Dump Valve Question

Hello all, my DV arrived this morning and i had a quick look and.....

Is the existing valve connected to a larger pipe underneath? it looked like? whereas the new HKS only connects to the mounting braket and a smaller (mm) pipe? (to the right)

do you have to block the bigger pipe off?

I would read the instructions but they all japanese :P

is the bigger pipe used if you have the recirculating kit? im guessing that the BOV fits in a loop if you are recirculating and is open to let the air out if its not...

Exactly Gar - the big pipe is for recirculating which needs to be removed and blocked or just blocked itself (hope this makes sense)

Hi there,

When I bought my HKS SSQV it came with the 'bung' and jubliee clip to block off the re-circ pipe.

& yes, it does sound good

All Sorted Sounds Great! The bung and clip was the hardest thing to install :P It was a spring clip (original) and that was tough to get back into its unsprung position... Needed four pair of hands :P
