Re: discs and pads.

Hi. Mintex 1155 pads are very good but you do get a lot of brake dust from them. Not sure on Mintex discs.

Re: discs and pads.

Run 1155`s in mine front/rear only thing against them is brake squeal and they`re heavy dusting so expect black wheel`s if youre heavy on the brakes.

Performance is great though will be trying ferodo`s next just to see what they`re like.

i fried the 1155's within a week, won't go near em again. was admitedly on the isle of man which also resulted in needing a new gearbox to put it into context lol.

shall be going to ferodo ds2500 as and when

Re: discs and pads.

I have found the best combo is Ferodo pads and EBC drilled and grooved discs. You get quite a bit of dust but have amazing performance under any conditions. The pads last ages too, i managed to get the front and rear pads for 70 from an ebay shop!

Re: discs and pads.

ferodo ds2500 had a good bite from cold - good on a late classic with 4 pot calipers and standard discs.. i've heard that mintex 1115 are very good road pads. i drove a car from cold with redsuff pads and it was awful, no bite or feel, it was shocking! - but they are probably good when hot. as for discs, good standard discs for road,,,
there's lots of options depending on your car/model/wheel size. Ian Godfrey of 'GodSpeed Brakes' does some good custom discs. if you are feeling really flush then DBA 4000 slotted discs with Carbotech XP8 Pads, - they are awesome but you will pay a grand for that set-up.

Re: discs and pads.

Dont like EBC discs meself had em on a 106gti an found the noise from the grooves(as theyre wider than everyone elses)a pain an noticeable on the pedal and crap got stuck in the groove`s scoring the discs once it embedded itself in the pads-not for me.
