Re: Need help building a beast

sounds like it is normally aspirated.

if there were plans to mod from the start, should have bought an older model and modded that or bought the better spec car from the start either the wrx or the sti (or the us equivalent).

Re: Need help building a beast

mm, a saloon, cool lol

you'll need a big budget to make a beast out of that, and it depends how far you want to go.

if your going mage then the lower the base spec car the cheaper it will be to create.

Re: Need help building a beast

cant be done for $10,000.

a 10 sec impreza would need in excess of 500bhp which would require a fully forged engine build (dont think much of your existing engine could be reused), inc turbo, fuelling, suitable suspension, clutch etc to suit.

Have a look at Crawford Performance for cost indications. Crawford Performance

think you may need to sit down 1st.

Re: Need help building a beast

you need to speak to a specialist.

adding a turbo to a normally aspirated lump isnt a straight forward fix. The compression ratios are different, pistons are diferent. Your n/a lump uses single ohc whilst the turbo models have twin ohc heads.

would have suggested buying the tubo model as a base to start and then tune as you need to.

Have you ever driven a 10sec car on the roads?

Re: Need help building a beast

i suggest speaking to one of the bigger tuners over there for options, but to me it sound like you will need to change the motor to make the beast you are after.

maybe set your sights a little lower to start.
