Personally I think they are both awesome cars....but the Evo does tip it for me with its Active YAW control, when you talk about pure performance. I have been out on the track in an Evo6 (as a passenger) with the YAW and it makes a BIG difference on the track - however I don't know how much difference it would make for real world driving when you are not taking your car to the edge, I mean traffic jams and the like

HOWEVER

I have and always will be a Scooby fan and even when i had the chance to buy an Evo I decided against it (I had considered crossing to the Dark Side ). There is just something about a Scooby, maybe its the Flat Four Grunt, the Exhaust Burble, the lines, the community and friends you make to be honest I am not sure, its just something about it that makes me smile and proud to own one. The battle between Evo and Scooby will always exist but I for one respect both cars for what they are

I couldn't agree more Nelson, there is just something special about owning a Impreza. I plan on driving one forever, so what's this you and Gareth are talking about, a new design Impreza? Where can I see some pics?

thanks for the pics Gareth, wow, I really like that design!!! That is very "sharp" looking! It kind of goes away from the round scooby look.

The one thing about that design that I would love to see in the production Impreza would be a front mount intercooler, maybe something similar to the current WRC car. That way the intercooler and radiator get a good supply of cool air. I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed. I think the top mount is a great idea, and the hoodscoop is pure Subaru, but they could always add a inverse hood scoop to direct air out of the engine bay.
