Engine rebuild recomendations.

He says I can see the history and rebuild details. Other people I know say that he seriously only replaced it as he has put the 2.5 monster engine.. lol but people are wary of buying an engine not from a recon place.

Guess to be fair its gotta be a better chance than mine.. I will take photos but my engine is kinda not even going to be any good to recon anyway.. lol

oh yes,my old 1.4 ate 2 water pumps,4 cluthces,2 gearboxes....in the 3 years of owning it i spent 7k keeping the bloody thing on the road....lol
then got a honda..lol

really.. I had a 1.4 did 12k in it and replaced the waterpump when I bought it and had same clutch. must have had a bad one.. lol outta my 21 rover engines only one failed me.

anyway, thats another topic.

tbh, I'd have few issues buying an engine that had been re-built by a reputable tuner if i could see all receipts for work done and subsequent servicing. Buying a re-con is just as as big a gamble (bigger imo) as a rebuild. Plus you know the guy which is a massive bonus.

if you've got a friend who can take the engine out for you then put the new one in then i'd go to;

lateral performance

if not i'd go & see paul at Zen who'd do a great job plus he's only down the road a few junctions...
