Number plate. Show/Don't show???
Hi All,
What's the issue with showing, or not, a cars number plate when posting a pic of 'your' car :?: . Is it a mistake to show the plate, as I have done DOH!! :?: What are the issues/concerns :?: Am I liable to have my car half inched by a gang of teenage TWOCERS  now or what :?: I note that most blank the plate, but some proudly display it. :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: |

My thoughts, on the subject are that for most people they dont want the reg traced by the Twocers!
Easy access to the web nowdays an too many nasty people around! Noticed nelson blurred them all on his japfest post, think he did the right thing personally, I would not like to think that if I put a post up with the reg' on and a car was lifted that I was maybe part responsible. They also cover them in lots of performance car mags too. buzz |

Of course I would not post a pic of another persons plate.
How do these GITS find your car, it's not as if you print your address as well :?: TWOCERS are very rare in Japan. In fact, in winter lots of people leave their cars running on supermarket car parks. It gets very cold here in winter and they do this to keep the inside of the car nice and toasty ![]() Can you imagine your car still being their if you left it with the keys in and running on the average Tesco's car park. |

With Buzz on this one - i cover the plates of all cars I photo just in case. Like Buzz said I wouldn't want to feel responsible for anything happening to them.
Also if cars are sat say at the trackside with their lights taped up its a good chance they will be tracking their car. Now if someone who works for an insurer was to see the plate then this could have repercussions.....I know this seems a little OTT but believe me it happens ! ![]() |

Thanks for your views guys,
Have never owned a car that I was sufficiently proud of to post a pic before. Obviously the situation is different now BTW, waxed my car tonight after work, with BMD Imperial Bright Master Wax. Easy on, easy off and car looks superb 8) Cheers |

Hi cat, do you have any imaging software like photoshop or the like?
think could even be done on the basic windows imaging software, make a copy of your photo and practice on that before going mad, use anything like the eraser tool or a smudge. Or if you want to play ther are tools in the program that allow you to "pick up" the background color white or yellow and "Drop" it over your letters. just play! But Do Make That Copy of your photo first ! need any more help then shout. buzz |
