New WRX - Running In
Hello all, i finally got the car today (my first ever brand new car
![]() ![]() Is this strickly true? could the odd boost make a difference? I'm missing the looks of the previous car already :cry: as i truly think the original is better looking but i done it for a trouble free motoring (3 years) cos of the baby due... thats justifies it doesnt it? ![]() |

good on you bud, may i be the first to welcome the new wheels to the clan
steady on with that foot, they will do all they can to say youve thrashed it if it goes bang! 1000 miles isnt much, tempting as it is, take it steady for the first 999 miles then give it some! buzz |

Whey! thanks Buzz..... Its on 34 miles now :shock: so only a few to go..... I've managed to get myself to macclesfield next week too so thats another 400 miles round trip..... I'm already busting to floor it but i will wait :twisted:

Nice to hear you have taken delivery....just remember that the shape of the car isn't everything
![]() As for the 1000 mile run in- - play it by the book mate. I can imagine temptation is very high for wanting to use boost and more than 4K rpm but don't you will only benefit in the long run....lucky you ![]() ![]() |

Ok thanks for the post suggs. I see your point about the three year lease.... Will be interesting to find out more about this..... They must redline to car for testinf purposes before leaving lovly japan?

point to remember, its not just the engine that needs running in! gearbox, diffs, bearings, drivers seat!
Give it the time it needs, youve just comitted to a lot of money, ok its under warrenty but do you want to be without it while its in the garage? buzz |
