boost gauge problems

Angry boost gauge problems

need some help please poeple, i recently brought a 94 jap import wrx waggon with the ej20 engine and have been tryint to fit a boost gauge, connected the pipt to the middle outlet on the mannifold as recomended (aswell as trying the other two) but i only get a vac reading of aprox -15 ish psi, when i rev it it drops back to 0 psi then goes back to the -15 ish when i let off, havn't drove the car anywhere with it conected if that makes any difference (i know it does on tdi's) only revved it, any help would be great cheers

have a sti type ra v6 myself fitted boost gauge to it fitted pipe to small vacuum pipe off the air bypass valve lower right of the intercooler gives me a reading in BAR of idling at less than -6.0 and full boost at 1.1BAR it a standard car look at the ''users photo gallery'' of my engine in the pic section and that will show you you will see the T piece by intercooler hope it helps was told by my mechanic that i work with that it will give you a good reading too hope it helps

couldnt figure out how to get your pics up mate, sounds like it was working then but only shows when your driving ill give it a go tomoz , hopefully it'l work cheers mate

if you go onto the main page on site go into 'users photo gallery' then into 'pics sti v6 type ra' they should come up hopefully for ya

Wont get a positive boost reading untill its under load ie being driven.
