How to recognize a real import?
Hi,
I'm interested in buying a 1993 JDM WRX but I'd like to know how to recognize areal one from a european one. The one I'm interested in has got the "i" badge (but I think it can be found anywhere), has the speedometer in kmh and has the "WRX" decal on the boot. I also would like to know what power I can expect if it's a JDM one (I think 240bhp). Thanks everyone. Franklin. |

Re: How to recognize a real import?
hi,
im no expert but have always been told that the easiest way is to look for a rear fog-light fitted as an after-measure, not part of the light cluster; however, someone on here will be able to confirm or deny this... cheers billy |

Re: How to recognize a real import?
Were WRX's available in Europe that early? I thought they were called GT's (in Europe) and the UK Turbo.
And JDM WRX's came with 236 Bhp (240 Ps). Last edited by rikimaru; 04 Aug 2008 at 10:25 AM. |

Re: How to recognize a real import?
as above all imports have rear wash/wipe, no fog light unless fitted (some can be fitted in the second reverse light) also the wind deflectors as these are only on imports and very rarely fitted as an aftermarket touch also speedo in kmh
