Re: GEARBOX

They shouldn't charge you if it's under warranty still. I know subaru Assist can be difficult at times though.

Re: GEARBOX

Hi.

If "Subaru UK" said its ok to do the work on your car (under the warranty) Let the Subaru main dealer do the work on your car. You must get a courtesy from the dealer with no charge to you.

All the best

Re: GEARBOX

I would suggest you ask Alyn Stockton if you can get a squeeking noise coming from a 07 gearbox. Whining yes but squeeking It may not be the gearbox.

Alyn is a .org member.

Re: GEARBOX

I have had a few dealings with subaru assist and there warranty and found them to be really good and never cost me a penny. I can see why you are worried though, why should you pay but tbh I can't see how they can't pay unless it was caused through total abuse and how could they prove that? the car is just over a year old, in my opinion they are just saying that you may have to pay to cover there backs but in reality they will foot the bill. I have had new shocks, a fuel leak fixed, temp light on diff fixed(loose wire), and tracker reconected no questions asked, and my car was near the end of its 3 year warranty. Subaru assist have come to my door twice really quickly fixed the car and when it was the fuel leak took it away on a flat bed so I can only say good things about them. I've always had a courtesy car off them too. My biggest worry is not about the warranty but about when it runs out I had a part of the 3 year warranty remaining and an extended one as I bought the car second hand from subaru so I just hope thats the last of the faults????????????????????????? I used to think scoobies were reliable but now I'm not so sure? I don't know what anyone else thinks about how solid they are but the verdict is still out on them for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Or am I just unlucky?????????????????????

Re: GEARBOX

All i have to do now is have it out with the garage i bought it from as they told me before i bought the car that it was fitted with a tracker and also bragged about the good deal i was getting as they had only priced it as a WRX but it had the prodrive kit NOT it has only got the prodrive spoiler , so will have to see where i stand as i think what they have done is wrong

Re: GEARBOX

Pleased you got it sorted under warranty mate. Don't think you will have much look about ppp, and tracker though they'll just deny it! Sales men are really good at changing there tune once they have got there sale, and it will be very hard for you to prove otherwise, unless you have written proof or some solid evidence it's your word against his unfortunatly. Also if these 2 things were installed on the car you would of had certificates to prove installation. The tracker for one would of had to be transfered into your name and you would of had to pay some sort of fee to get it activated etc.

Good luck..................................
