Hi.

If you have any modification it pays to tell your insurers, that way they may well say "OK thanks, we have noted that but there is no extra premium.

Hi all,

I fitted the spoiler . . . They charged me 40 quid for the 8 months remaining on my policy . . .

The car looks good now though.. . . .

If I could work out how to upload pictures i'd show ya?????

My usual process of Insurance renewal every year is too jump on the net and surf around trying to find the cheapest quote... do ya think it would be a better idea to actually talk to these people over the phone and bargin for a better quote, what does everyone else do???

Cheers...

"A-plan insurance" keep coming up trumps for me, its worth giving them a phone as well as keith michaels to see who's cheaper.

29, Fully comp, with all mods / points declared (and thats a few lol), car parked on the street in edinburgh city centre was 540

HOW MUCH!!,,,,

I'm also 29, with a wrx 2002 only mods really is wheels and spoiler, no points (very lucky), 10 years no claims (again, very lucky), Car garaged overnight in South Wales valley's village (Not a bad area really) and Elephant took 800 quid off me....! This is with protected no claims (could of saved about 100 quid), I have never had a bump but it sod's law aint it you could guarantee if I didn't protect them the next day i'd have a bump...

Quite a good CV really, so I don't understand why I'm paying so much..

Yeah a lot of companies just take the P***. Time to have another look around then m8.

There should be an insurance thread on here somewhere which lists all the good companies to insure impreza's.

Re: Modz & Insurance

Try Greenlight Insurance..

Mods declared and a premium of 495. full comp with protected bonus...

but call them as opposed to getting an online quote...
