Help needed badly car will only boost to 8.5psi

went to the rolling road day yesterday was happy with 232bhp
wasnt till i got home and read the dyno print outs noticed that the car only boosted to 8.5psi which is 0.586 bar this seems very low
thought problem was my baileys dump valve
have changed this back to the standard recirc valve
took car for a drive still only boosting to 9psi but also noticed on my
air fuel ratio autogauge meter is now showing it running very rich
any help would be great
the car is a my98 uk turbo with a decat exhaust and a green panel filter

I`d start with the easy and cheap stuff first lol all ya hose connections and condition of hoses-they could have been rubbing on something somewhere an split or even just a loose jubilee clip on intercooler hoses then maybe clean out boost solenoid and a ecu reset/read codes,Running rich could possibly be lambda sensor.

Took from another site

If the lambda sensor continually reads high (rich), it will cause the engine computer to lean out the fuel mixture in an attempt to compensate for the rich reading. This can cause lean misfire, hesitation, stumbling, poor idle and high hydrocarbon emissions (from misfiring).
If the lambda sensor continually reads low (lean), it will cause the engine computer to richen the fuel mixture. Injector pulse width will increase causing fuel consumption and carbon monoxide emissions to go up. Constant rich fuel mixture can also cause the catalytic converter to overheat and it may be damaged.

I take it you have connected the dv the right way round as they are 1 way valves?

ok guys found the fault one off the small boost pipes with the restricter in it had been put on the wrong way round so would only allow 8.5psi have changed this now boosts to about 15psi so im well happy think it may have happened when car was decated
i didnt notice because i gained extra when decat was fitted but lost some boost anyway all fixed and big smiles now as im getting the full benifit of the decat now
