ALK and geometry setup advice needed please!

hey dudes, i'm hopefully getting my ALK fitted tomorrow, its been under the stairs for the past three months, i thought it was now or never. i think i've found an outfit to do a 4 wheel geometry set-up but have been told that i may have to give them some basic info on the camber/caster etc for my car. this is bit out of my depth to be honest. as many of you know (as in my profile) the car concerned is a MY1999 u.k

can anyone help out with the info i might need to ensure the car is sorted properly.

cheers as always,
Andrew.

p.s, merry crimbo, happy new year and happy birthday to all of you. i aint been on here much and am suffering from a bit of a guilty conscience

Hi Andrew.

I could only find this info on geometry set-up.

1. http://www.northursalia.com/techdocs/align/align.html

2. http://www.subaru-impreza.org/bbs/sh...ghlight=camber

The setups should be in the my1999 handbook if you have one?

cheers pete, i'll check some of these figures against ones i've found else where. i suppose that the prodrive settings are generally the ones that people go for.

No offense but i would be slightly concerned if i took the car to a place and they cant tell me what is best for my car.

Not saying they are people to be avoided, they could well be new to the impreza world and need to start somewhere and could well be the best in the business once given the correct info but personally i would crap blue lights if the mechanic asked me what the correct alignment should be.

They should have the data on file if nothing else surely?

Then again maybe its me being too protective for my wee lass lol

fair point. although its more to do with that i have an idea myself, and believe me i've been shopping around and asking advice from impreza owners in my area. i have a couple of fairly local places that have been personally recommended that know their stuff. but it's best to find some info on the work being carried out, as i have never had this type of work done before.
