Hi and Cheers for all your help!

Its all sorted.

One of the plugs had lost its irridium point, and the gap was then over 2.5mm for the spark to jump. So new set of plugs and it runs fine I am now going (today) to fit an internal boost gauge and will look into a proper boost controller.

Thanks again, these cars are mega fun I'm going to love it.

Ok here are some questions :-

Without getting too carried away money wise what boost controller should I go for?

Is 1 bar ok normally, and does the ecu sort fueling out at that level of boost or do I need bigger injectors/mapping, if so what small boost upgrade is ok?

What level do they run as standard?

What horsepower would 1 bar give me?

Tim

tbh you wanna stay well clear of boost controlers, if your gonna play around witht he boost, save up and have it properly remapped, will save the cost of a rebuild if you get it wrong

Personally i think in the right hands with someone not trying to be clever an get the most boost possible manually theyre ok-would wanna take it somewhere to have the different preset modes/channels set to a safe level though.Lets face it for just knocking about local a low boost setting would do.Definately think theres a place for em in a modded car.

i dont think its as simple as that mate, 99% of people who fit them crank em up, gone are the cossie days when you could do that lol

remaps vary but roughly 900 all in including vat
