Buying an '05 WRX What Do You Think?

Hi all,

Im new here, so hi.

I have just placed a deposit on a Black '05 WRX. I thought I would post the link here and see if anyone knows the car: http://www.switchcar.co.uk/CarDetail...4&categoryID=0

Reg starts DS05 if that rings a bell with anyone.

Anyway it's from one of those internet / car supermarkets (but seems like a great deal) so I will be extra specially careful when checking it over, I have printed off the check list from here.

Let me know what you guys think.

Looks good. Should also have FSH as still in Warranty.

Looks very nice and a good price for that mileage! do you know if its a uk car or an import?
Also the exhaust looks like either an after market or a prodrive if its the latter the car may be a 256 bhp prodrive version.
One of the many scooby experts on here will be able to tell you what to look for to identify the version your buying if its not clearly stated.

Thanks guys, from spending a good couple of months looking for the right car, that kind of price seems to be appropriate for an 03 or 53 so I am happy. It is a full UK car.

I assumed that the exhaust was a Prodrive version but will check it out. Are Prodrive exhausts stamped with the name?

The car is en-route from North Yorks to a local branch (dan saf) for me to view at present so I will let you know how it is when it arrives.

The most obvious part of the ppp is the blue intercooler pipe?

Also, if I drive this off the forecourt and it goes bang what does Subaru not cover?

Correct.

You should receive a UK service & warranties booklet with your WRX, this will give you what is covered/not covered. Also you will receive a cat 1 alarm system operating instructions booklet with a PIN number for the alarm/immobilier.

The back box should be labelled.

Hi all,

I am still fighting for this car as they mucked me around on the part ex!
It has the ppp and also rac trackstar fitted already, nice!

Just one thing, the underbonnet sound proofing, should this be black or yellow or yellow and black, it has either had an oild spillage that has sprayed up or maybe it looks like this as standard??? Could somebody send me a pic of how it should look to save me going to a Subaru garage to check???

thanks, that confirmed that it should look as it does! Cheers, why choose an oily colour for the under bonner colour!!!??
