New potential owner

Hi everyone

This is my first post in this forum.......and hopefully not the last.

I am going tomorrow to test drive a 52 plate WRX with the intention of P/Xing my untrusty steed (MG ZS 180), can you guys please give me some info on what to look out for, what common faults the Subaru's may have, running costs etc?.

The Impreza is in the top 3 of my dream cars and I want to make sure I get the right one.

Thanks in advance

Darren

Ensure it has full service history
Servicing should be
First at 1000miles
Then every 10000miles or 12 months

I'd second that one Tidgy.

I test drove the WRX and thought it was "good" then went out and got the "WRX Prodrive" for a bit more cash and was very pleased.. after a year or so i had the "itch" and had to upgrade to the bugeye STI... much much happier now coz it's a different class ..

If the budget will stretch then deffo go for the STI.

bugeye WRX is still a damn good first scooby though.

They're nearly 13k more than a WRX here. I'd much rather get the WRX and put the parts I want on it. But thats just me.

So, either the WRX is priced high or your STi is priced low.. lol

I paid 22k for my WRX. An STi would have costed me almost 35k.

I paid 11,165 pounds for my car. An STi is about 17,763 pounds. Thats a considerable difference.
