Brembo brakes are suitable for Grp N

Anyone read the latest J Tuner, the article regarding the Prodrive group N rally car.

The boss of STi UK says that the extg Brebo brakes can take the punishment of a rally with uprated pads only!!!!

So for those who doubt the ability of the Brembos have a read.

i thought so too, the only stage they would suffer is on something like "Col De Turini" with all the hairpins.

May not be good for AP sales though LOL

yep they can and did till they changed the rules for the current cars (they now have the option of running a competition AP set-up............)

only thing i bet they didn't mention was that they were changing disc & pad sets at EVERY service!! and calipers were 'lifed' also....................

however the comment is that the standard brakes are very very good. So most people should be happy with them in 99% of situations.

Maybe http://www.kad-uk.com that was a guess so dont shoot me down or ill pull the uzi 6 piston caliper in lightweight alloy... bring it on............

bout time these guys got alot of plugs.... looks like the development work is doing real good.... one to watch im hoping

Alternativley the godspeed setup has many good reviews out and about but unsure about both under extreme conditions... bigger disc using 4 pot calipers... : http://www.godspeedbrakes.co.uk/Subaru/subaru.htm

like these you mean..............................
http://www.subaru-impreza.org/bbs/sh...ad.php?t=28032

as i said above, it depends what your using your car for and how hard you drive??
the BREMBO is a mass produced caliper and bears no relationship with their competition/performance range that are very good (if a little pricey)

the KAD brakes we have been supplying for a hwile now (and not just for Scooby's) and they are excellent quality at a reasonable price, not as cheap as some suppliers but i would rate the quality of their components (particuarly discs) above AP!!!
