tek3 remap booked!
finally got around to booking my tek 3 mapping session with Bob Rawle of BRD developments. spoke to his business partner Branko today. all set for the 4th november (theres quite a waiting list). i had to previously cancel a booking due to the traffic laws and a slapped ar*e from a magistrate.
![]() but now i'm rehabilitated.......... so i'm going for more power! ![]() i would like to ask who else on here has had a tek 3 custom map and what power, driving and boost gains/improvements they got....and does it improve fuel economy in any measurable way? i have a MY1999 u.k with follwing engine mods, and although i'm aware that each car is different i'd love to know what peeps think i'm likely to come away with (apart from a big grin on my face). full decatted system (3" open neck) harvey smith ported n dressed headers harvey smith modified slip jointed up-pipe forge vta green panel filter and of course uprated fuel pump. running on tesco 99ron (oh yeah baby, take no prisoners) ![]()

295 is great. but thats just a pipe dream for me. limited by TD04 turbo at present, and i've sworn to myself that the remap is the last of it.
![]() and 240 off a tank is way better than i get at present. i'm getting less than 4 miles to the litre. the car is obviously running rich and one reason why a remap has been on the cards for a while

the td04 will hit 300, if your very lucky, i only know one car that got that and they reckon the norm is max 270-280.
mine hit 258bhp, whcih was decat, pannel filter and remap, on a standard uk turbo, well other than mods said lol

![]() i've thought long n hard about the turbo issue.............. would rather have a quick road car than a laaaaaaaaaaaaagging sports car. i've never taken the car on the track and have had my wrists firmly slapped for speeding, so i know where i stand with what i want from my car. flipping kill joys, its like being being on scoobynet ![]()

pmsl, been poorly mate
![]() ![]() anyway, might be worth trying to get hold of a VF35 (or VF34 can't remember which it is) offa later model sti (think its 7 or 8), then you should be up about as far as you can go. problems gonna be its gonna run hot, very hot, even with just the remap. only realy dangerous on hot days. my recomendation would be to have some decent gauges fitted with oil temp to keep eye on things. mine will go from 90c to 110c in about 3 mins if i realy give it beans.
