Hi guys,i just got clocked with a camera which was sticking out the back of the van doors.98 in a 70 zone.Any advice on a way round getting hammered with points

98 in a 70. Could just be a 3 pointer. Chances are you were only doing 90 with speedo error.

that sounds like good advice, chances are that if you took your mph reading from your clock then it will probably be giving you a higher reading than what you were actually doing. my clock is about 10% higher than what my raod angel and tomtom sat nav tell me. and i believe that the police give you a small percentage leeway. chances are you may have been caught doing under 90. however, if your NIP comes through with 97mph or above it has to dealt with by the magistrates courts. (don't mean to scare munger, but you'll have to sweat it out for upto 14 days until a letter arrives on your doorstep).
i've recently been in your position, so know exactly what you are going through.

Sorry mikie was joking, Nick Freeman is the lawyer frequently in the news who gets all the celebs off with speeding offences.

What kinda car you got mikie, may have seen you about.

worst case should be 6 points and 300 fine

mate got that for 104mph.

as long as it wasn't unsafe to do so aka pouring rain etc etc should get away with that kinda thing.

they did let a policeman off with that for 104
