Re: Insurance Companies

Hi folks.

I'm 24 been driving 2 years I have 1 years NCB and I'm struggling to find a company to insure me. I don't own an impreza yet and won't do until I can find a decent quote.

I'm 25 next week so I'm hoping this will open my options a little.

I tried greenlight for a quote and they said they won't touch me with only 1yrs NCB on such a high insurance group. They want a minimum of 2yrs.

I've also tried moneysupermarket and go compare they want almost 4000.

I also don't mind paying in the region of 2000.

Help me please. I really want a impreza. Wagon or saloon I'm not fussy

Re: Insurance Companies

I'm insured with ecar, the cover is ~2200, up to ~2700 with finance on monthly payments, making monthly payments 222 ( I think, or something very close to that ) ... on a uk classic turbo, figures are pretty rough, I don't really deal with it ...

I have no no claims discount, I'm 26, had my license for a year only earlier this month ( passed 8th october last year ), I've had this policy since around february when I bought the car ... if I can get insurance, I'm sure you can

most scoob owners faver Keith Michaels,if you contact him ask for Gary, there could be a slight snag as age and experiance with a performance car..worth a try though.

Re: Insurance Companies

Ive been insuring modified cars for last 10 years, in my opinion greenlight are the best as said above they quoted me 700 for my impreza fully comp and no ncb either as it was 3 years on my traders although they did take this into consideration, compared with adrian flux of 2350 lol. They are total rubbish and only reason so many recommend is they pay magazines to big them up. anyway stuck with my traders in end for 950 fully comp

Yes it does make a difference my example is i did a money supermarket quote 3 days before my 25th birthday 2 years ago and for a impreza it came out at 1700 3 days later when i was 25 the same company quoted 1475. i advise to wait till 25 for a renewal or new policy it does make a difference

easy way to check now, go on go compare website do 2 identical quotes apart from bring forward you dob to make you 25 on one of them, you'll see if its going to make a difference that way. as it probably matters more with some companies than others as they all have different criteria.

Re: Insurance Companies

try a traders policy, as a valetor they are the cheapest. say its a part time job that you plan on taking full time, should then get one around 1500 with no no claims.
