Question prodrive for 06 sti

I'm thinking about getting the ppp for my car around the end of the year.
I was just wondering if anyone else has put the ppp on a 06sti yet, and what difference they notice.
I've read all the specs on it but I'm wondering about how much louder the exhaust sounds etc - I don't really want it to be too loud - would rather just have a nice rumble.
Also how badly does it affect fuel consumption.

Anyone gone down this route yet?

if you want a good quiet upgrade go for the ppp, think as norm better results have been had for full decat, induction kit, fuel pump and remap but tends to be alot louder

I dont think the PPP setup will give you that much more noise but it does give a fair bit of extra power

If you have a non standard exhaust system, like the Ninja or Afterburner setup, then you might have a bit too much noise... The Ninja system for me (from the turbo) is perfect and it helps me with the performance at the same time too

I havent had a chance to hear the Prodrive stuff, but I did hear an STi with a full Cobb setup. It sounded rather nice. Very subtle.

I think having something subtle is always so much nicer than something that blows your ear drums off... Besides, no one knows when your coming then

Just ask Bob on here with his WR1... That's standard, but has the Prodrive sports cat on it I think he's very happy with it

I did have a chance to hear a hawk eye with a full APS system (header and all). It didnt sound like a boxer engine anymore. He said the header changes that.

If they are equal lenght headers then it will loose the boxer engine noise. Keep them unequal and things will be as normal, but that bit louder

the semi-equal headers i.e. gt spec will change the noise, keeps the burble at low revs, but turns into a howl at higher revs.....tiny has said mine sounds like a motorbike at full chat, I am sure others will vouch for this.

I didnt notice any increase in power or torque with the headers, but then i had other items fitted at the same time.
