301 miles in my tank

Hi
I Just got 301 miles from a tank of Optimax and I had the aircon on for the last 120. All (well most) at 80 I recon I could have gone another 20/30 mile because the tank was not empty

Kev Top day at Riat

wow....that must hurt the pocket m8......

i've got a 14 mile round trip to where i work, and in the morning i rarely go above 50mph....it's an empty road in the morning so i just take it easy, i'm in no rush to go to work

on the way home it's a different story....it's so busy and loads of bends, i can only follow behind whatevers in front of me, much to my dismay sometimes....especially when your stuck behind some old man/woman doing about 25 mph

Your doing well there Kev mate If you travel at around 3000rpm's and not to much higher, the boost isnt on so you'll do even more.. But then saying that, I dont know how yours is geared so is 80mph below 3000 or above slightly?

like i said earlier phill......i've got a clear road in the morning and don't normally do above 50 mph....i aint in a rush to get to work

on the way home there's loads of traffic, so pretty much the same speed

the roads i travel on daily are not really suitable for speeding on....yes you can get a good speed up on them, but you gotta slow down for speed cameras and some pretty sharp corners....one area i travel through has got 3 cameras in the space of 1 mile....so normally stick to the speed limit.....like i said "normally"....i still like a good burn once in a while.....who doesn't

then.....obviously, i don't get that sort of mileage from a tankfull

Nice Its a little lower than mine in 6th Its about 3300 I think.. I dont rush to get to Trudi's as such because I know on the roads I have to go, the damn motorway might be busy as hell one minute and then empty the next, I just cant be bothered with racing up there... Barely saves me any time anyways... Besides, 3 hours to do 200 miles I dont think is all that bad Especially when the first 35 odd miles is all at 60mph!!

Roll on new car See what that's like

I think over Christmas, I manage 830 miles on £260 I think... It might have been less but I was doing a lot of miles, at times things wherent as constant as I would have liked...

Managing around 30mpg's now with the car... I'm hoping after its mapping and everything being sorted out, it'll do even more
