Tiley's today

Went into Tiley's today asked then to change the dump valve to STD. They had a dump valve from a new car they just fitted a FMIC to so changed it for me...NO CHARGE...Thats what I like to hear I said...
Also had the pads I got from the S/Net group buy fitted. Front and rear and was billed for 30 mins work.. Wink So ended up walking out with new dump valve, pads all round fitted, and all for 30....
I must be getting lazy as cannot even be bothered to change my own pads...

I have to use a dealer as the car is still under warrentee. But I do check brakes and clutch as the warrentee does not cover this. I purchase these parts on group buys or from none subaru franchize dealers. These can then be fitted by any garage before the main dealer service is done..I save about 50% by doing this. The dealers charge stupid prices for renewing brake pads a lad on sws just had his done and it cost well heres his post

Bob, I know I'm gonna reget asking this but I've just had a 30k service today and had to have new pads all round. How much were yours? I just paid dealer prices and boy they can charge like the light brigade .... 470 before VAT

My reply...

Fronts 128.65
Rears 53.32

DS2500's much better than STD pads...Paid Tiley to fit 30.
They are so easy to fit just a few pins and change over, but I cannot be bothered jacking the car up..

So you can see the differance in prices...Get it done before the service at main dealers...
