questions from noob to experts

Thanks for warm welcome.

OK, currently have BMW 328, am looking to upgrade to impreza wrx ppp, probably second hand for 14k??? My questions are.........

1/. Is the ppp any good, is it noticeable over the standard wrx(I have done a search within forums only to find that there are too many ppp hits for the search engine to display).

2/. Should I buy a brand new 2005 model on the cheap as the 2006 has just been released?

3/. Should I look at grey imports?

Any responses would be of value

cheers

1. PPP is ok, you get better results from decat and full custom remap though.

2. to be honest depends on what you can afford

3. imports are much more easy to insure, service etc than they used to be, bear in mind subaru dealers wont touch them, but there are plenty of places around that will, what part of the country are you in?

Hi m8 - - - You could get your hands on a 06 (2.5) import WRX for around £15.5k

PPP is recommended by anyone who has ever had it You could prob get yourself an 54 PPP WRX with low miles on for your 14k have seen some 04 ones without PPP for around 12k so you could go down that route and get it installed afterwards...

Personally would stick with subaru uk but many many many people dont and get little problems...

Hope that helps...

Check out the checklist : http://www.subaru-impreza.org/impreza-checklist.html if you are buying second hand.

prodrive performance pack, gives it a sports cat remap and pannel filter. think it takes it to 265bhp from the norm 245, get more from full decat and remap though

Not too bad just don`t believe the figures that are given as they are nigh on unachievable without a remap

Can`t see why not, garages will probably be quite desperate by now to move the cars before the value drops too far

3/. Should I look at grey imports?

Again, can`t see why not, have a look at http://www.litimports.co.uk/
