Smile about to buy my first impreza - advice needed please!

Hi

I am about to buy my first impreza, i am looking at a standard uk turbo MY2000, and was hoping someone could give me some advice on what problems or symptoms to look out for?

thanks for that, the checklist will be useful, only thing is it doesnt provide any specific signs of abuse or symptoms of problems to look out for - is there anything like that on the site?

Good luck
The first Impreza I drove felt awsome but when they started it there was lots of exhaust smoke
There are so many cheap Scoobys out there im sure you will find a good one

try taking another owner with you to give a second oppinion mate, you will always be looking at a potential purchase through the rose tinted glasses.

I have fell foul of this one before, overlooking what seem to be minor problems, they turned out quite big.


Go drive a few, well, as many as you can, get a feel for whats good and whats not. Take your time, there are plenty of good cars, but be careful, as there are as mant duffers about.

thanks for the advice.. i have actually found one - 1 owner from new, 55k miles, x plate, full subaru service history - got the rac to give it the once over and the engineer said it was so good hed buy it. deal done, going to pick it up tomorrow or the weekend.. cant f****** wait
