I changed a spoiler (copy) on the WRX and 6 months later took it off to see what was going on underneath... Serious rust pits had formed.

Was wondering if something should have put on before or would this be associatred with a bad fitting spoiler.

To be fair gareth i`d have put the spoiler on as u did,if i were gonna use anything underneath it would have used tigerseal tho trust me your spoiler wouldnt have been coming off again,its seam sealant thats used on car body panels could have put that on, tho to be fair u never know if your doin right in case water gets trapped under it-u cant win
