need a small favour(classic owners)
some of you may know i recently sprung a leak in the boot of my 99year classic.
thought it was the spoiler but was mistaken. have now found where the water is coming in from. it is entering from a small hole which sits just below and next to the rear light fixings on the inside of the boot. there is a hole on each side and noticed today that there is water entering the boot from both holes. these hole are part of the design of the car and they are in line with the bumper and you can see the road through them. question is, are they meant to be plugged up? could someone possibly check under the trim in their boot and tell me if they have the same holes and are they covered or plugged up? it does seem absurd to have holes like these left open like they are on mine. the holes are big enough to put your finger into them. hope someone can help me. rgds, BB.
