Next Mod

Hi guys,

Over the course of the last few days I've been taking a look at what the next mod on the scoob should be. I've pretty much narrowed it down to either de-cat pipe or intercooler water spray. The problem is, I need a bit of advice on which of the 2 would be the most cost effective and easy to fit?

Any advice peeps???

thanks mate.

it's pretty much a standard UK turbo at the min. all it's got is what looks like a ninja back box and a bailey dump valve (fitted by previous owner) and a k&n 57i kit that i've fitted so was just looking for advice on the next step.

Hi I think the de-cat is the way to go
I'm sure you have enough cold air going in you IC at the moment without the need for extra cooling

cheers mate.

i know going after huge power gains is gonna cost more money that i cant afford at the mo. that's why i decided that it'd be best to take the stage by stage approach.

If you go the de-cat way?

You get a 5% "Dot org" discount with Rich (RB Performance Designs).

Agree with the de-cat I have the water spray with my Type R and hardly use it!! Well, I dont think its set to auto or anything!!

The de-cat and re-map is the next on my little list to get sorted

Hi guys,

Got the de-cat pipe last week and fitted it on Saturday (well 2 of the mechanics in the workshop did the hard stuff and i supervised/assisted ). Havent noticed a lot of improvement low down but mid-range to top end is definately a lot better.

Thanks for the advice everyone and a big thanks to Rich for getting the pipe out to me as soon as he got it in stock

Tom
