Okay, here's the lowdown: I have bashed my reduced size plate at the front and order a new one from www.fancyplates.com However when it arrives I have ordered it without the standard space and as I ordered a 3/4 size plate I also got 3/4 sized font...is this completely illegal, a bit illegal, very illegal, and / or might as well not start up in the morning! ?
So can anyone help, where can I get a reduced sized plate with standard lettering and of course legal font size? |

hi m8 - had this sized plate on both impreza's (front) smaller than average and NEVER got pulled / questioned by it... If the worst was to happen (in 3 years it didnt with me) police will probably ask you to change it
![]() coppers have activly looked at my car parked (numerous times) - traffic cops used to rotate where i was renting and nothing was ever said. i wouldnt worry about it ![]() |

It is illegal. Only Standard Size with Standard Font and spacing is legal...
You could drive around and never get pulled then again you could be pulled first day it is fitted.. If it is standard font but just smaller. In other words looks as standard but just smaller then me personnally, I would take a chance. If however the text is really different then be prepared to get done.... |

Thanks guys, I like it and am going to keep it, just wish I had remembered to put the space in as this is what makes it stand out, i.e the lack of a space, oh and the fact that it's small and cool. Like you say done tomorrow or in many years to come but what about the MOT, will it pass
