If subaru were to read this thread!

what would you like to see on the new impreza coming out of the factory.

Example:

I would like to see something as simple Turbo Timer built in...

What would you like to see and why?

i would like to see a slight increase on the mpg but then so many complicated things would go on i.e. powerlose so it would be cool to see an impreza with 300bhp and about 30mpg combined

i would like to see uprated springs to help with the understeer

thats all i can think off atm so if i think of anymore i will come bk

the cars are pretty much good out of the box performance wise, i would like to see better built interiors and more equipement ...sat nav would be nice.
and a good hi-fi system.
just the things i expect in a car costing a fair wedge.

I agree with this one - Interiors could be optional - im sure some speed freaks like some mod cons in the cockpit - i for one would -

i actually am very fond of the impreza interior, sat nav would be the main extra i would like...and i love extra gauges (and if they done a sweep like the others ) but i love the interior in general in the impreza! esp the seats!

the lay out of the cabin is nice nice place to be, it does what it needs to......just feels a little cheap and flimsy.

i know the car is a sports car and people will say you dont buy it for the interior.....other marques manage to do both.

Better Seat fabric

Not saying the seat fabric is not high quality - but the fabric should be a lot more "Durable" than it is.

I agree with all the points mentioned,

I reckon Scooby should ask its loyal followers first before they do major design changes. Like the Bug light series wat were they thinking! We as customers have to spend thousands on a decent bodykit, just to make it look mean again..EVO lover would have been smilin from ear to ear seeing that model come out..sorri Pete I know u got a bugeye one

But a standard turbo timer and some gauges would go down well...

Wellz thats just my 2 cents worth guys

I've spoken to Subaru about why they haven't done some of the things that you have listed.

The plain and simple answer is: They don't want you to modify them and if you don't there is absolutely no need for them to change any of the current items they have on the car. You don't need a front mount, you don't need these fancy guages, blah, blah, blah.

I agree the interior could do with something of an upgrade. The optional sat-nav is absolutely brilliant (and should be for the price), stereos are also readily available as an optional upgrade. As for suspension - drive the new STi, you'll be begging for a softer set-up.

Subaru are now aiming for a less power-hungry market and from what I can gather, they are less interested in supplying a niche market with cars to modify.
