mot(no cats) emissions ok

yay took car for mot and passed emissions without any cats bless it,though there are tricks to gettin em through anyway.

SO it IS possible then, u had a remap by any chance ? i guess you must have ive always wondered if it could be done .

no no remap(probably why) i know some that have passed without and some that havent-think it largely depends on the mileage and generally how your cars running tho mines the 2nd MY/00 ive heard about thats passed without cats-both been low mileage cars though.

This is going to be a thing of the past.

With the new system in place it will be much easier for the DoT to make checks.

Let say for instance you take your Impreza in for an MOT. Mr DoT can sit at the end of the road and see exactly what is being tested. If you then drive down the road in that car 10 minutes later and it doesn't have a cat on it they will know the test was fraudulent.

I'm told this is not just a scaremongering rumour, but is an actual method proposed to catch dodgy testing stations. They will most likely concentrate on testing stations that have a high number of performance cars too.

no big deal to take em out after tho is it really,if it came to bein that strict id put them in for the mot then take em out.
