Low boost!!!

Hi guys, posted this problem before with no reply's so thought i'd try again.

The problem is that my car MY94 wrx sti version 1 (import) is only producing 0.5 bar (7 psi) of boost. It originally came with a blitz 2-stage boost controller although the electronic controller is missing, the under bonnet unit (black box with 2 pipes feeding into it!) is still there. So i decided to remove this box and re-connect the boost pipes back to the wastegate controller.

Now am i right in saying that the boost pipe (coming from the turbo) connects to the bottom of the controller and the pipe from the actuator connects to middle of the controller, top pipe vents into the air flow pipe.

Ive reset the ecu (2black + 2green) and the ecu reports no faults but iam still only producing 7psi of boost.

Hope all that makes sense!!!

Your vac pipes dont sound as though they're plumbed in right to me, but i cant say for sure as i've never looked at or worked on a 93 my .

Post a pic of how its set up at the mo if poss and get someone with a similar year car to compare.

Top pipe goes to the air flow intake pipe, middle pipe goes to the actuator and the bottom pipe goes to the turbo.

Have you tried swapping top and bottom pipes around?
