'how low should i go?'

yep! i'm still tinkering over how to spend my hard earned cash. rather than refining my choices it just seems that i will be spending more dollar as the ideas keep growing.
lowering springs. any pros and cons? ones to avoid? things to be aware of when purchasing?
for 1999 classic with standard dampers.

as stated in subject heading how low? i seemed to have found springs on the i-net which lower from 20mm upto 45mm. www.jap-innovations.co.uk have a set by MRT, 45mm, ( a bit pricey), any good?

any comments and expertise welcomed,
can anyone recommend shops, springs, and lowering height advice?

Hi Mate

I have Spax 30mm on my classic with standard dampers. I have 18 inch rims with 35 profile tyres. This setup is fine no rubbing at all. Handling is alot better.

cheers for the reply, was starting to feel neglected (but as always i have more to ask than to answer) :?

i have standard 16" wheels, so i suppose i have standard size tyres. will 30mm look and feel like the car has been lowered by a lot?

Should look ok. The size of the wheel and tyres are probably about the same as mine. I wouldnt go too low incase you get rubbing. I have heard people say that with a 40 profile on the 18s they get rubbing. But mines fine...
