Hi, new to this website and just looking for some advice,
I own a 2003 subaru impreza rx aus model (2.0l) It has 202,000km's on the clock I recently put in a new radiator as the last one had cracked and cause the car to overheat on a long drive. Ever since I got the car back it has been running hot, the temp. gage continously fluctuates before hot and cold, one moment it will be at the top, then drastically go back to normal, and so forth. there's no major leaks I can see. I just bought a brand new subaru water pump for it, but mechanic said its a blown headgasket and didn't bother putting it in. We burped the cooling system a couple times today. radiator fluid in overflow tank often gets very hot (steam) after about 30 minutes of driving around suburban. (no signs of milky engine oil have been seen to indicate a blown head gasket) |
