Overboosting help!!

Hi there, I'm new on here. I've got a 1997 uk wrx, full decat
Blitz nur spec, Walbro fuel pump, Uprated oil pump, fmic, induction kit, dump valve not sure of brand, it's got some sort of fuel pressure regulator on which I'm
Not sure about, When I get to about 4k revs there is a an overboost where it shoots up to around 20psi from 12psi and it feels like a fuel cut, quite violent, any ideas?? I've changed coil pack leads fuel filter plugs from pfr6b to 7bs
Thanks

Hi, you havent mentioned a remap for the mods ?
The decat can cause your problems if it isnt mapped for the mods.

Re: Overboosting help!!

Being fair id probably have done a little more homework or asked more questions when buying a car with mods,
Then you could have used that as a bit of a negotiating chip,

You can probably get around the boost surges by playing with the restrictor pill or even a boost controller,
these wouldn't make sure the fuelling would be ok but would help control the boost better for you.
