slight water leak.
Had a good look over my new scooby now ive had it a couple of days. Noticed a little bit of a water leak. As you look down at the radiator, from the front of the car, the bottom left corner of the rad is damp and when i looked under the car its a bit damp to the touch. Is there a rad pipe there or could the radiator be knackered? Ive googled the radiator image and on the pics it appears theres what looks like a twisty cap thing in that corner. Dont want to get a new rad until ive asked all your learned advice. Although a radiator is only 35 quid so its not a bank breaking issue worse case senario. Steve.

Re: slight water leak.
best is to get it cleaned down, let it get warmed up then have a spirited drive,
Pull up and pop the bonnet and see if you can find any weeps/leaks, Its easier to see when under pressure normally. hth

Re: slight water leak.
I checked this morning after a drive when the car was warm. The fan kicks in fine, the temp gauge stays stable and the heater blows very hot. Just the bottom corner on the same side as the top hose is damp. Rad looks quite rusty and old tbh though. Is there a bottom hose on that side or just a blanking plug? As i said, ive looked at images on google and there appears to be a what looks like a screw plug on the same side as the top hose. Steve.

Re: slight water leak.
Impreza`s are a Rad killer, so if it looks old id be tempted just to make sure I wasnt caught out.
